We are an OUTSTANDING organisation

Xcel 2000 is an independent fostercare organisation, covering Kent, Medway, South London, Essex, Thurrock and Hertfordshire.

We were awarded outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in October 2021.

Our small and friendly team of foster parents, social workers and office staff work together to support young people who are unable to live with their birth families. We are committed to giving them the best possible opportunities in safe, stable and supportive foster families.

Starting out with just five families, Xcel 2000 now extends to over 50 foster families throughout Kent, Medway, London, Essex and Hertfordshire.

With a head office in Sittingbourne, Kent, we work with families across Kent, Essex and parts of London and Hertfordshire. We are an active member of local and national forums which ensures that we have a strong influence in guaranteeing and maintaining best practice within fostering.

Why work with us?

For the last 35 years, independent fostering organisations (like Diverse Care and Xcel 2000 - the two organisations working together to make the Hazel Project) have been looking after some of the most vulnerable children in the country on behalf of Local Authorities.

Excellent pay

There is a strange opinion in this country that Foster Parents should not be well paid for the work they do.

We have no problem paying nurses, therapists, doctors, teachers, social workers etc for the amazing work they do in the care sector - so why the difference?

If we want the best people in the country to perform the task of living alongside traumatised children - we believe we have to pay them well.
